The Kilbride story comes to life with new interpretive signs

By Michelle McAnally

Preserver-in-Chief Liam Griffin has been busy this summer producing interpretive signage for the Kilbride graveyard. Liam has performed many hours of in-depth research over the years, and with his creative flair (and handy work skills) has made the stories of the people buried here come alive.

From the legendary Sacred Aisle of Clan MacDougall to the graves of sailors lost at sea, Liam weaves a tale of Argyll and Scotland that above all conveys a sense of place and of the real lives of the people who lived, worked and died here.

Everyone is invited to visit Kilbride, near Oban in Argyll, Scotland, and check out the new signage, as well as the information kiosk, where you can find some lovely Kilbride merch, including coffee mugs and shirts, which are available by donation. Guided tours are also available by appointment.
