Jean MacDougall, who lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, sent us some images and family memories from the funeral of Madam Coline MacDougall of MacDougall and Dunollie, who is laid to rest in the MacDougall Memorial Aisle at Historic Kilbride.
From the obituary and funeral booklet:
"On May 5, 1990 peacefully after a short illness, Madam COLINE HELEN ELIZABETH MACDOUGALL of MACDOUGALL and Dunollie aged 85 years. 30th Chief and loving wife of the late Leslie Grahame MacDougall, RSA, and beloved sister of Jean and Hope. Funeral, May 10th at Christ's Church, Oban at 1.30pm and afterwards at Kilbride. Family flowers only."
Jean writes:
"My parents-Neil Munro Stewart MacDougall and his wife Elizabeth Margaret-at the time owners of the Foyers Hotel, Loch Ness attended the funeral-both wearing the MacDougall tartan. The Funeral Order of Service contained a cutting of the MacDougall tartan."
