Historic Kilbride Named Among Herald’s “Hidden Gems”

Kilbride was recently featured in The Herald as a “hidden gem” in Argyll & Bute.


The article said:

“It’s a pleasant stroll and not very far (if you must you can park at Kilbride Kirkyard instead) and explore the ancient burial ground which has played an important part in Scotland’s history and is connected to figures such as Robert Bruce, Alexander II and Oban’s Clan MacDougall. In 1249 Alexander II “granted the see of Argyll the Parish Church of St Bride the Virgin in Lorn” so this wee place really does have a ‘rich past’.
